Join a community of multisport athletes who thrive on the shared experience of challenging ourselves in a more natural environment!

About us

TriQuest is the new breed of triathlon, incorporating the spirit of gravel and trail running to bring multisport to a new dimension. Experience something entirely different in our second year this September in Vermont. Founded in the belief of John Muir’s words –
“Of all the paths you take, make sure some of them are dirt.”
We believe in the call to wander off paved, easy routes and embrace the authentic, raw beauty found on dirt roads, which helps cleanse our spirit. In this challenge, we connect with nature and our community. We welcome athletes of all types, whether you are the super-competitive or one who enjoys completing physical challenges, enjoying the camaraderie of fellow athletes, the TriQuest community welcomes you!
When we are done pushing each other through this challenge, our relaxed after-party is the perfect event to sit down after a magical day and share war stories over food & drink.

Our Course

Start the day with a one mile swim in the pristine waters of Echo Lake. The swim is well marked with buoys guiding you in a counter-clockwise course staffed with volunteers & lifeguards on SUPs and Kayaks.

Leave that fancy tri bike at home, grab a gravel bike, Mountain bike or wide tire hybrid bike for our scenic Vermont bike course.

This 28 mile ride  will challenge you with mostly gravel roads climbing over 3100 feet in elevation in all.

A short gravel opening gives way to a scenic flatish 5 mile ride up route 100 delivering you to the bottom of a two-mile climb known locally as “The Monster.”

After conquering this climb (KOM & QOM awards!), enjoy a rolling ride through the pastoral Vermont farmlands. These open dirt roads & amazing vistas are sure to be the most memorable triathlon bike leg you have completed.
Our updated run course consists of an opening almost 3 mile out and back section on a flatish gravel road and then enters a 2 mile section of steep class 4 road (Unmaintained primitive public roads)

At the top of our epic climb you will be treated to an awesome view of the Calvin Coolidge forest and beyond.

The run course will have four aid stops to help fuel you through the final leg of the our journey connecting you with the rustic nature of Vermont.

Our new finish line marks the end of the journey, it is also the beginning of our epic after party where we invite you to share war stories with your fellow athletes, families and spectators enjoying lunch, and the music of our Chief Fun Officer – Sammy B.
